About Blagdon

The village of Blagdon is nestled between the Mendip hills and Blagdon lake. Each year, due to its setting, Blagdon attracts people for a variety of reasons.

The lake not only attracts those interested in fishing but also people interested in photography and ornithology.

Last year almost 60,000 brown & rainbow trout were caught at Blagdon + the nearby Chew Valley lakes, Records show an amazing 260 species of birds have been recorded here.

Within the village are several pubs serving a variety of beers and wines as well as excellent food. There is also a general store and a butchers which sells local meat, cheese, sausages and attracts customers from miles around.
